Well, it is officially day 2 of my new project, and I am, honestly, quite proud of myself! Here's how far I've got ->I worked out the finished size and it will be 15 x 15 squares; I don't dare multiply that out or I know it will only depress me! Anyway, if I can do 7 1/2 squares in one day, then I can do 15 x 15 eventually!! I just need to keep motivated!

PS: check out the pattern; you won't be sorry! It's the best granny square/joining method I have seen, and it is helping with the no-finish syndrome!
